Artist: Art Bryan Manabat

Art Bryan Manabat is a bridge engineer in county government by day and a professional choral ringer by night. Known for his “mystical” chant voice, he studied vocal performance as a baritone under Bethany Reeves and trained in Gregorian chant under the late Emmanuel Leemans, a student of Flor Peeters and former director of the Boys Town Choir. Art is Assistant Director of the Cantantes in Cordibus Latin Mass Choir and Schola of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Jersey City NJ (where Frank Sinatra was married) and has sung and directed in several NY metro area choirs as a tenor and countertenor. Recent musical highlights include singing Haydn’s Requiem for the funeral of the late Alice von Hildebrand, Bach’s Mass in B Minor with the Canticum Novum Singers, and Josquin’s Missa Une Mousse de Biscaye with Music Divine. He currently resides in New Jersey with his wife and two toddlers eager to join their father in noise, er, music making.
